Lucy

Lucy is a 5-year-old Greenland/Malamute mix. She positively vibrates with energy and is devoted to the people she becomes familiar with. Lucy is shy at first but once she knows you she is always, always, always happy to see you. She is an enthusiastic runner and is sometimes a handful to harness. Lucy is not particularly fond of her doghouse and prefers to sleep on the ground. I made the mistake of putting straw in the little den she had dug for herself and she very indignantly pawed it all out and spread it all over. She is a tireless worker but as a typical freight type dog she doesn’t enjoy speed. She would do best in a home where “slow and steady” is the motto. She is also not a particularly good running partner with other females, although she has females all around her in the dogyard and has no issues.
